Lisa Hernandez

Lisa Hernandez, LCSW, is a licensed clinical social worker specializing in cognitive processing therapy (CPT). Lisa earned her master’s degree in social work from Texas Christian University and her bachelor’s degree in social work from the University of North Texas. With more than a decade of experience in counseling, trauma and crisis intervention, Lisa integrates bilingual clinical expertise in both English and Spanish. Before joining Trauma Counseling Associates in 2023, she worked as a medical social worker and ordained chaplain in a hospital setting, where she provided therapy and faith-informed support to patients, families and staff. Her work also included community crisis response and stress management support. She is licensed in Arizona, Nevada and Texas. Having lived in several states and Europe growing up, Lisa has called Texas home for more than 20 years. Outside of work, she enjoys quilting, spending time with her husband and their children, and staying active in their church community.
